Technical Challenges

Production of automotive dust covers using TPE/TPV material presents significant hurdles. First, TPE has a very high melt index, making it extremely difficult to control the precision of the parison and wall thickness over long products. Second, the customer imposed strict CPK (Process Capability Index) requirements on product thickness across every area of the part body to ensure uniform flexibility and strength. Finally, the project demanded a high level of automation, including top and bottom auto-deflashing, to ensure clean edges and reduce manual post-processing.

We integrated an advanced accumulator head design with a high-speed, high-precision injection system to ensure rapid parison formation before cooling.
